Rising star Dane really showcases her talents in this second of her three back-to-back releases. The characters in this gritty tale are vivid and real, with emotions that range from love to twisted evil. As happens all too often, secrets don't stay buried--but they sure make for riveting reading!

The bizarre murder of a
security agent for the Dunhill Corp. leads Chicago homicide detectives Raven Mackenzie and her partner straight to the mysterious and powerful woman in charge: Fiona Dunhill. Fiona insists that the police work with her head of security, Christian Delacorte, whose relevance to the case becomes clear from a cryptic message left
at the scene and articles regarding
the slaughter of his family two
decades earlier.

Sharing information doesn't come easily to either Raven or Christian,
but after Raven's partner is nearly assassinated, it's up to them to continue. Does the killer have connections
to the slaughter of Christian's family? Fiona, who has raised Christian
since the murders, is obviously keeping secrets--secrets that are leading to
kidnapping and murder. (AVON, May,
