Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

In this follow-up to With Every Breath, Smith keeps the surprises coming with several plot threads that have to be unraveled. Throughout the investigation, the sexual tension between the leads is palpable. Readers will thoroughly enjoy this roller-coaster ride. Well done!

FBI agent Althea Pritchard has returned home to Baltimore, where a teenage girl has been abducted -- just
as Althea was eight years before -- and a gorgeous new partner awaits. Special agent Damien Wade is shocked to find that his new partner is the same woman with whom he recently had an incredible one-night stand.

When Althea was taken as a teen, she was rescued by Garrison Wade, Damien's older brother. Is this a copycat abduction, or is the victim, Claire Thorndike, being held for other, more sinister reasons? As the kidnapping case heats up, so does Damien and Althea's relationship -- especially when Althea becomes a target. (Dafina, Dec., 419 pp., $6.99)
