NO WAY OUT
Teacher Julia Talbot has been a part of young Brian Stratfords life for years. So when Brians behavior starts to change, she senses immediately that something is very wrong. The fact that 7-year-old Brian is the son of Mayor Stephen Stratford complicates things, but it doesnt stop Julia from asking questions.
Connor Stratford also senses that something is wrong at his brothers house. Under pressure from their over-controlling father, Stephen is preparing to run for the Senate. If there are problems in the Stratford house, Connor plans to make sure that they are taken care of privately. But Julia is persistent and will not let the issue go.
Dealing with Julia is something that Connor finds quite enjoyable. As neither Julia nor Connor are aware of the true scope of the problems, all too soon they are dragged into a potentially deadly situation.
Exciting suspense and terrific emotional drama round out this new romantic thriller from the always-talented Andrea Kane. (Nov., 480 pp., $6.99)
