NO WEREWOLVES ALLOWED
by Cheyenne McCray

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

Nyx is back and ready to kick more butt in the second installment of the Night Tracker series. This time Nyx’s first-person adventures focus on her Night Tracker duties, rather than her P.I. business. McCray introduces some interesting secondary characters that add depth to this developing world. As always, there is a seductive sensuality mixed in with the hair-raising adventures.

Half-Drow/half-human Nyx and her human partner Olivia are given a dangerous and puzzling case. According to the local alpha werewolf, several of his people have been kidnapped and murdered. The problem is that there are no scent clues left behind. Who or what is doing this? When several young children/pups are taken, the urgency rises. Nyx, Olivia and several other Night Trackers head to the woods to try and uncover clues. It doesn’t take long for Nyx to discover that the malevolent force behind these kidnappings has a horrific agenda. It is going to take ingenuity and some help from her friends if Nyx is going to both solve this mystery and survive! (ST. MARTIN’S, Jun., 320 pp., $7.99)
