Book Review

Zebra opens with THE NOBLE NEPHEW (3), the latest offering from Martha Kirkland. A handsome lawyer suggests that his lonely aunt and uncle adopt their grandchild, little realizing that neither his widowed mother or elder step-sister will consider such an offer, no matter how precarious the state of their finances. And so only the selfish new owner of their former estate and his social-climbing wife welcome the party when they arrive. Ms. Kirkland uses vivid characterization and dashes of amusing humor to develop a thoroughly satisfying love story.
