Sixteen years after her mother's suicide, magazine writer Lauren Stanley goes back to Peru. Her mother was stationed there as consul when the tragedy happened, and Lauren must figure out why she's never been able to come to terms with her mother's death. While abroad, Lauren nearly dies in a mysterious accident and ends up being rescued by Dr. Armando Torres, a psychiatrist who runs a clinic in Peru, and who, incidentally, was present the night her mother died. Kay David's Not Without the Truth (4) is full of action and adventure. The story will easily hold reader attention, and her characters have depth.
