Book Review

Genre: Erotic Romance, Historical Erotic Romance

RT Rating

Complex characters and descriptive language enhance this sexy and satisfying read. Each character struggles to overcome a troubled past to find love, and the love scenes are by turns tender and steamy. A mystery subplot is introduced but is predictable.

With her younger brother in tow, Helen Rivenall escapes from her abusive uncle to search for her maternal grandfather in London. Her attempt is thwarted when she finds herself drugged and the object of a brothel auction. She is rescued by a man who makes her believe that sins of the flesh would be pleasurable with him.

Sebastian Rockwood, Earl of Melton, has a regimented existence that's interrupted the moment he decides to bid on Helen. With the murderous Jack the Ripper on the loose, Sebastian soon finds that his rigid schedule is impossible to maintain when protecting her is his obsession. (, dl $6.49)
