When her friend's son is injured, attorney Jessica Harding returns home for the first time in years. People and things have changed, but the boy's uncle, architect Nick Armstrong, is as attractive as ever. Lovers a lifetime ago, they're older and wiser now, but their feelings for each other remain strong. Dealing with the past is necessary if they're to have a future, but is it possible? Brenda Harlen's Once and Again (4.5) is a very special story with an elegantly simple plot and a core conflict anyone can relate to. Jessica, Nick and all the characters are wonderfully written.
