Book Review

ONE RECKLESS SUMMER
by Toni Blake

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
Sensuality: SCORCHER

RT Rating

Blake's first story set in Destiny, Ohio, has a great plot in between the numerous sex scenes. The book has much angst and quite a few interesting characters, and the progress of the story and the way it ends will linger in your mind. You'll look forward to more out-of-the-ordinary stories set in Blake's small town.

Jenny Tolliver is back home in Destiny, Ohio, to lick her wounds after divorcing her cheating husband. Although she moved away 13 years ago, everyone still thinks of her as her as a "good girl." This includes bad boy Mick Brody, even though their first encounter has them having sex in the woods. After that, Jenny decides that this is going to be her one reckless summer.

As Jenny and Mick become more deeply involved, against Mick's better judgment, Jenny suspects him of hiding something. When she discovers what it is, it puts not only Mick's freedom in danger but also Jenny's relationship with her police-chief father. (AVON, Jun., 384 pp., $6.99)

One Reckless Summer

Submitted by Robin in PA on May 23, 2010 - 7:13pm.

Newly divorced Jenny Tolliver comes back to her hometown and discovers the town "badboy" from her past is also back home. Even while Jenny and Mick Brody begin a secret summer affair, they are pulled into a moral dilemna.

This is a great book. I felt so bad for Mick and the things he had to go through in his past and now his present. And I liked Jenny, even though I believe she and I have a different idea about how to keep a secret. If you like fiery hot and emotional romances, this is the book for you. My rating: 5 Stars.
