Although she has always known her family's unusual time-traveling history, Winter MacKeage is not aware of her own special destiny. As the seventh daughter of Laird Greylen MacKeage, she is the chosen successor to ancient Druid wizard Pendaar. Winter was not supposed to come into her magic until much later in life, but circumstances have now decreed that she must accept her powers in order to save the world.
While her parents and Pendaar struggle over the best way to divulge her fate, Winter thinks she may have met her match in handsome Pine Creek newcomer Matheson Gregor. Matt has purchased Bear Mountain and requested that Winter use her artistic talent to help him build a house. But Matt may not be who or what he seems. Is he Winter's destiny or a dark fate flowing over the land? (Oct., 384 pp., $6.99)
