The Circle of Friends series kicks off
with this good start. It's interesting to see how three childhood friends who form a love triangle maintain a relationship afterward. The female lead tends to vacillate excessively before making her final decision, but the sensuality and intensity of emotion are compelling.
Devastated when her longtime love Tyler left town, Katelyn turned to Steve, another childhood friend. But when Tyler returns, Katie realizes that
her relationship with Steve lacks passion.
Tyler left town two years ago because of a devastating secret. But things have changed, and he cannot let Katie marry Steve. All he has to do now is show her how good it still is between them without hurting Steve. Can Tyler rekindle love without ruining lifelong friendships? (SAMHAIN, Nov., 256 pp., $15.00)
