The mythological Perseus sets off on a quest to save his beloved mother, Danak, from the evil king Polydectes. When the king tells him to bring back the head of Medusa, Perseus visits the Oracle of Delphi to find out where Medusa is and how to kill her. There he meets Andromeda, thinking she is the High Priestess. She begs Perseus to help save her home of Thessaly from a sea serpent. Soon they are in a race against time to save both Danak and Thessaly.

While I know the story of Perseus and Andromeda, it is always interesting to see other renditions of their story. I look forward to more mythological books from this author. (Nov., 236 pp., $12.95)
