This is an intricate story of love, heartache and hope, as well as an intriguing mystery. Peopled with fascinating characters and giving a captivating and well-detailed look at the past, this is a story that once started, is hard to put down until it’s finished.

Struggling to move past her overwhelming grief at the death of her husband and 2-year-old son, Julia Forrester finds the mystery presented by an old diary helps. Discovered by Lord Christopher “Kit” Crawford, heir to the estate where her grandparents worked, and attributed to her grandfather, it brings up memories for her grandmother that encourages her to reveal secrets kept for the past 70 years. As the secrets of the past are revealed, Julia finds herself falling for Kit and taking an interest in life once more — until her past returns in a very real way to disrupt her second chance at love.
