Book Review

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Young Adult

RT Rating

Light, breezy, great end-of-summer reading, this is enjoyable chick lit. While suspension of disbelief is mandatory — the main character drops out of high school after a bad, although seemingly not soul- crushing, breakup — the authors still do their darndest to bring the fun.

After having her heart broken, Max, an entrepreneurial teen, starts her own heart-mending company designed to help teenage girls move on. The hitch? Max hasn’t quite gotten over her ex yet. Despite her success rate with clients and her big college ambitions, if she can’t set herself straight, everything could come crashing down.
