This nicely crafted mystery has a number of believable suspects and a hero that's not one of them. There's a cleverly interwoven romance and plenty of suspense, but there's also the well-worn psycho villain out for revenge, the spiteful gossip and the gay best friend.

he mother of 10-year-old Johnny and a widow of two years, Vanessa has dreamt about geese three times. After each dream, someone she's cared for has died. Now she's had the dream again, and this time a close friend is murdered. As the investigation progresses, Vanessa becomes involved with Christian, one of her real estate clients and a friend of the victim. More murders take place, and she comes to believe that her husband, who supposedly committed suicide though his body was never found, is back. Will Vanessa be next?
