Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Young Adult

RT Rating

Fantastic! Oliver has a unique talent for creating multifaceted, complex characters who will hook readers. She captures the hopeless dynamic of a struggling town while keeping the story tense and exciting. A gritty and suspenseful stand-alone that won’t disappoint.

Carp is a small, struggling town. Every year, graduating high school seniors participate in Panic, the game with high risks and a higher payoff. Thousands of dollars are on the table for the player who endures every dangerous task, and everyone has a different reason to win. Nat wants out of Carp for good. Heather has to prove her worth while protecting her family. Dodge seeks revenge. As the stakes get higher, alliances form, trust is broken, romance blooms and the game goes on, but at what cost?
