Image of Passion Becomes Her

Image of Passion Becomes Her

This is a fast-paced, light read. Good characters and snappy dialogue keep the story moving along, though a stronger conflict might have made the story more powerful. But Busbee never disappoints and fans will definitely want to add this one to their collection.

Widow Julianna Greeley is forced to go to childhood friend and neighbor Asher Cordell. She needs help to save her sister from the dissolute Marquis of Ormsby, who is blackmailing her family to force young Thalia to marry him. Asher agrees to help Julianna for her sake; he also detests Ormsby. Asher steals the letters that Ormsby was holding and Thalia is free to marry the man of her dreams. But Ormsby is furious and that could be dangerous for all. Asher and Julianna marry, despite her doubts. But their happiness is interrupted by a murder. Will Asher take vengeance or will the love of a good woman save him? (ZEBRA, Jul., 336 pp., $15.00)
