While running from the law for a murder he didn't commit, Ethan becomes stranded in a snowstorm. Rescue comes from a young woman named Lauren who takes him to her cabin. She surrenders all to him, but before the sheets turn cold Ethan is taken away in handcuffs. Eleven months later, after being acquitted, Ethan returns to Lauren to make amends. He discovers that during their one night of passion, he fathered a child that some-one now wants out of the picture. Jean Barrett delivers plenty of action but
very little relationship development in Paternity Unknown (3).
