Ad executive Anna Simmons lives and breathes her job—until her boss orders her to take a six-month sabbatical. A wheeler-dealer, Anna tries to regain control by lining up a fake boyfriend and pretending to get a life. Somehow, she convinces her neighbor, injured firefighter Sam Drynan, to help her out, but then pretense becomes reality, and Anna finds she doesn't want her old life back. Molly O'Keefe's distinctive comic sensibility and sure-handed way with characters are in evidence in Pencil Him In (4).
