Onboard a class reunion cruise, four former schoolmates are reunited and discover the true meaning of love and sacrifice.

Maxine Chandler isn't quite recovered from the loss of her fiancé in a drunk-driving accident, when she's faced with the possibility of never having children. Her dreams of a family will never actualize unless she finds someone willing to father a child.

No one thought Christopher Chandler would ever rise above his impoverished world, except for Maxi. Now a successful entrepreneur, he's learned not to depend on anyone but himselfand especially not on a woman.

Mya Rivers never loved anyone as much as she does her husband, Garrett. A successful businesswoman with two adorable
children and a football player husband, she is presented with the career opportunity of a lifetime and must decide if it's worth the friction it creates in her family life.

PERFECT TIMING is one of the best Brenda Jackson books I've read. It was difficult not to be moved by the tribulations these individuals experience for the sake of love and happiness. (May, 304 pp, $24.00)
