Billerbeck’s first teen novel is refreshing and filled with tongue-in-cheek humor. Readers will identify with many of the situations that Daisy is involved in, as she tries to live a Christian life in a world that doesn’t understand.
Daisy Crispin’s parents led fairly wild lives before they became Christians, so they have made a point to keep Daisy safely sheltered from the secular world. Yet all Daisy wants is to go to her senior prom like everyone else. She sets out on a yearlong journey to discover who she is apart from her parents, while still staying true to her beliefs.
