Book Review

by Dianne Duvall

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance

RT Rating

Knowing your enemies is a key concern in the newest installment of Duvall’s excellent Immortal Guardians series. Vampires, and the virus that drives them insane, have been the primary threats that our heroes have been fighting against, but there is a new player in town. With this excellent entry, rising star Duvall is fast proving to be a major player in paranormal romance!

Bastien Newcombe is still not playing well with others, even though he is now fighting on the Guardians’ side. Of course, few of them are cutting him any slack — except for Dr. Melanie Lipton. Although Melanie is human, she is well versed in the supernatural and is working to halt the insidious madness caused by the vampire virus. Bastien is not used to having an ally and he finds calm, professional Melanie highly intriguing. Although they defeated the previous vampire king, a new organization on the rise could turn out to be even more deadly. (ZEBRA, Oct., 320 pp., $6.99)
