Book Review

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

Springer's second book set in Pritchett, Wis., is as enchanting as the first. Bernice and Alex's shared past is full of turmoil, but a spark remains after many years. Bernice's faith journey is realistic, and new believers especially will identify with her experiences. A sprinkling of comedy adds exactly the right touch.

Bernice is learning how to live as a Christian and is getting to know the daughter, Heather, she gave up for adoption so many years before. Things are moving smoothly, when who should show up but Alex, the movie star she once loved -- who also happens to be Heather's father. Alex wants to rekindle the relationship, but how can they when they come from two different worlds? And Alex doesn't know anything about Heather -- how will he take the news?
