Part four in Brunstetter’s Discovery series is a quick read with her typically well-crafted characters. While the action moves faster in this book, new readers may wonder why the story was broken into such small installments. The series is best read in order.

Nurse Susan is pleased that Eddie is out of his coma and undergoing therapy. However, he still has no memory of his life prior to the attack that put him in the hospital. Meredith is nearing her due date and is thankful that her good friend Jonah is helping with the chores. Her mother-in-law is not pleased, as Meredith is still in her mourning period for Luke. While she still loves Luke, she wonders about a life with Jonah. (BARBOUR, May, 128 pp., $6.99)
