PITCH PERFECT
by LuAnn McLane

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

McLane returns to Cricket Creek with a romance in which the dramatics are kept to a minimum, making for an easygoing story. There’s a delightful secondary romance, and the revelation of the heroine’s true identity is well handled. Chock full of characters whose stories are just waiting to be told, this charming tale will leave readers eager for the next entry.

Mia Monroe’s attempt to prove to her father that she can make it on her own gets off to a bad start when she ends up in Cricket Creek with a broken down car and no money. Cameron Patrick is a baseball player getting a second chance by playing for the Cougars. The team’s baseball complex has brought a booming economy to the area. It’s not long until Mia, incognito as Mia Money, lands a job working for the Cougars. Along the way, she gets Cam in trouble, starts to fall for him and is generally a magnet for mayhem — mayhem that includes the PI her father sent to keep an eye on her, and her father himself!
