Readers of Amish romance will be adding the Amish of Apple Grove series to the top of their reading lists, thanks to this winning collaboration. The beautiful love of family and home conveyed in this book makes it a winner.

Rebecca Switzer sets off in the middle of the night, from her home in Apple Grove, headed for Lawrence, Kan. She has left a note for her family explaining that this will be her rumspringa and that she will return home. She has no idea that Lawrence is turned upside down by the temperance movement and that every woman in town is participating in the marches and protests. The local law enforcers don’t believe her story about being Amish. She is a troublemaker, as far as Sheriff Colin Maddox is concerned. How much trouble can one simplehearted teenage Amish girl handle? (HARVEST HOUSE, Sep., 320 pp., $13.99)
