Book Review

A PLAIN DEATH
by Amanda Flower

Genre: Inspirational, Mystery/Thriller/Suspense

RT Rating

This new series has mystery, some romance and several amazing characters. These people are smart, clever and want only the best for others. Amanda Flower is a talented author who gives readers what they have come to expect, a good mystery with a few twists and turns along the way.

Chloe Humphrey is a computer whiz geek, has come to Appleseed, Ohio to work as the director of the technology department at a local college. There she meets and becomes friends with Becky, an ex-Amish teen who needs a place to live. But when Becky borrows Chloe’s car and gets into an accident with a buggy that kills an Amish church elder, things get complicated. Before long, the accident is deemed a murder. It will be up to Chloe and Becky’s brother, Timothy, to solve the case and clear Becky’s name before another "accident" happens. (B&H Books, Jul., 336 pp., $14.99)
