by Beth Wiseman

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Continuing her Daughters of the Promise series, Wiseman creates characters who mean well, even if they do not always achieve what they intended to. The author leaves readers with the message that if you have a devout faithfulness, it will be with you no matter where you are.

Miriam Raber is awaiting a proposal from Saul Fisher, amid rumors that he will be leaving their Old Order community. Miriam believes that she would follow Saul anywhere — even to pursue his career in the Englisch world.

Shelby, Miriam’s worldly cousin, is sent to stay with Miriam’s family while her parents are going through a divorce. As a result, Shelby feels like she does not belong, has no purpose and that God has given up on her. Shelby begins to evaluate her life in a different light after experiencing the fellowship and closeness within the community. (THOMAS NELSON, Apr., 320 pp., $14.99)
