Book Review

PLAY DIRTY
by Lorie O'Clare

Genre: Romantic Suspense, General Romantic Suspense
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

O’Clare has a well-earned reputation for sensual romantic suspense. Play Dirty is the first book in her Bounty Hunters series. While the suspense storyline is gripping, the romance between hunky Greg and his estranged wife, Haley, is a bit flat. Perhaps it’s because the two are already married — though they are separated. If you like a good thriller and bad-ass bounty hunters, this is for you.

Six years ago Haley King made the toughest decision ever — to leave her husband and family and go into the witness protection program. Now her boss has disappeared and Haley fears the worst. Greg King cannot believe his eyes when he sees his wife standing under a corner street lamp. Haley’s in trouble, but she’s not willing to let Greg back in unless he makes her a promise to treat her as an equal. With an assassin on the loose and after Haley, Greg puts his life on the line and Haley may be the only one who can save him. (ST. MARTIN’S, Oct., 384 pp., $7.99)
