THE PLEASURE CHEST

Author(s):

When artist Stede O'Flannery was hexed in the 18th century, he ended up imprisoned in one of his paintings, occasionally able to come out for a week at a time. If, during that week, he falls in love, the curse will be broken. Tanya Taylor, an artist in contemporary New York, buys the painting from a junk shop. When Stede appears, she's incredulous at first but soon in love with the artist and determined to save him. Together they try to find out how to break the curse forever. Great details, a wonderfully sexy hero, hot sex and an intriguing plot make The Pleasure Chest (4.5) by Jule McBride fly. The humor as a nice man with a different worldview meets the 21st century is a riot. This book is another strong addition to the time-travel set.
