Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

House cleaner Charlotte LaRue's nephew Daniel has married his aunt's favorite employee, Nadia. But their newlywed bliss is short-lived when Nadia becomes a suspect in her abusive ex-boyfriend's murder.

Charlotte, in fact, found Ricco's remains while at a wealthy client's home, and police immediately believe either Nadia or Daniel is the killer. Nadia looks even more suspicious after she disappears, but Charlotte knows she didn't
do it. Since the detective on the case has
an ax to grind with the LaRue family, Charlotte decides to investigate herself.

In this absorbing read, Charlotte keeps readers guessing as to what her next move will be. Interesting characters and a suspenseful mystery combine for an enjoyable and surprising novel. (Feb., 288 pp., $22.00)
