POWER PLAY (4.5) by Nancy Warren: Emily Saunders returns to Elk Crossing, Idaho, to be a bridesmaid in her cousin's wedding -- with ugly dress, nosy relatives and all. Cop Jonah Betts is in town for a hockey game. When a series of comedic events have them sharing a hotel room, romance and sexual tension break out. The attraction grows, but Jonah promised he wouldn't make a pass while they shared the room. Both characters are smart and verbal, which means the dialogue sparkles and helps to turn this into a book readers won't put down. There's even a killer on the loose. This wonderful story has everything the reader could want -- hot sex, laughter and truths that hit home.
