This is a story about forgiveness, healing and the miracles of faith. It makes the reader realize that by opening yourself up to others, the spiritual rewards are numerous. Unfortunately, this uplifting message resonates more than the actual story.

After the tragic loss of her baby, the last thing Amanda Vance wants is to spend the holidays with her in-laws and their children. When a neighbor’s husband falls ill, she is asked to take his place on a trip to the Holy Land. While there, Amanda helps a young mother and her sick daughter. With this new experience, will Amanda be able to open her heart again to God’s spirit and blessings? (THOMAS NELSON, Sep., 304 pp, $12.99)
