THE PREGNANT BRIDE WORE WHITE
THE PREGNANT BRIDE WORE WHITE (3) by Susan Crosby: Taken prisoner together in South America, nurse Keri Overton and security consultant Jake McCoy had a brief, intense affair before she was freed. Now Keri's pregnant, and Jake's still MIA. Welcomed by his family, Keri feels like a fraud because she and Jake didn't really know each other. That fact is emphasized when Jake comes home -- and everyone starts pushing them to marry. Their attraction remains as strong as ever, but Jake's job means danger and travel, and Keri's ready to put down roots. While the plot is reasonable enough, neither character is especially engaging -- and there's precious little romance in their situation.
