PREGNESIA (3) by Carla Cassidy: A very pregnant amnesiac hides out in a car being repossessed by recovery agent Lucas Washington, who brings her home to his sister. Lucas doesn't know who she is, but he recognizes that the beautiful mother-to-be is in real trouble, especially after an attempted kidnapping. Is she running from an abusive boyfriend? Or is there something more terrifying on the horizon? And how does the Church of Enlightenment enter into the story? Lucas isn't letting Jane out of sight until all the questions are answered, but he's not a forever-after kind of man, so he tries to ignore their growing feelings. Despite an intriguing premise, Cassidy's story suffers from a trite ending and cardboard characters.
