THE PRETEND PROPOSAL (4) by Jackie Braun: Thomas Waverly is looking for a bride to fulfill the dying wish of his beloved grandmother. To make his grandmother happy, the self-professed bachelor lied about having a serious girlfriend. Now, Nana Jo is insisting that she meet the woman. When Elizabeth Morrison approaches Thomas for a donation to her charitable literacy foundation, he offers her a proposal — a large donation in exchange for her posing as his fiancée for the weekend. Elizabeth reluctantly goes along with the plan, but the couple is soon developing a real attraction. Braun’s latest is a funny story with snappy dialogue and great characters.
