THE PRICE OF RETRIBUTION (2) by Sara Craven: Tarn Desmond’s foster sister had a mental breakdown after being jilted by “love them and leave them” publishing mogul Caz Brandon, and Tarn swore to avenge her sister by giving Caz a taste of his own medicine. Her plan is simple — she will use her feminine wiles to wrap him around her finger, and then she’ll publicly humiliate him. Only Caz isn’t quite what she expects, and Tarn hasn’t planned for what she will do if she falls in love. With its flat conflict and an unlikable heroine who is an extraordinarily poor judge of character, the execution of this melodramatic tale of revenge misfires on multiple levels.
