Bebris' mystery follows Mr. and Mrs. Darcy of Austen's Pride and Prejudice after their triumphant marriage, as they journey to London for the marriage of Miss Caroline Bingley and Mr. Parrish, an American plantation owner. Soon after the wedding, the couples journey to Netherfield Park, the new home of Elizabeth Darcy's sister, Jane, and her husband, Charles Bingley. There, the odd behavior of Mrs. Parrish disturbs the Darcys, even as some suspicious events occur, leaving the guests at Netherfield to fear for their safety.

Austen fans will delight in this novel, which easily immerses readers into Regency England and the lives of the captivating Darcys. Bebris has done a very credible job capturing Austen's writing style and adds a twist of mystery to the mix. (Feb., 287 pp., $21.95)
