To become Prince Regent of his homeland, Alp'Azuri, Raoul d'Apergenet must marry -- now. But his wife-to-be dies in an accident right before the wedding. Ironically, the crash's other driver, designer Jessica Devlin, comes to the rescue. To protect Raoul's young nephew, the heir to the throne, Jess fills in as a Princess of Convenience (4). Although it's a constant reminder of her own broken marriage and deceased son, Jess is oddly loath to leave Alp'Azuri, which is good news for Raoul, who wants her to stay! Marion Lennox spins a classic plot, adding multidimensional, sympathetic characters. It all works splendidly.
