PRIVATE PARTNERS (3) by Gina Wilkins: Married secretly for over a year, medical student Anne Easton and TV journalist Liam McCright haven't spent much time together. Now that Liam's landed a book deal, he plans to change that. He wants to live with Anne while he polishes his manuscript and, hopefully, recapture their previous intimacy. But the revisions don't go well, Anne's stressed by her studies -- and she's tired of lying to her family, who still don't approve of Liam. A unique premise and a compelling conflict are the strongest points of this story, but overall it doesn't work because the characters aren't ever fully fleshed out.
