Perfectionist Kit Prestcott, public relations director of the erotic Manhattan Hush Hotel, finds her Fantasy Weekend promotion hits a snag when a contest hostess goes missing. So she steps up to play escort to the winner, but he's Peter Garson, the man who broke her heart when he left her at the altar. Peter wants another chance to show he's sorry and ready to marry her. A great read, Private Relations (4.5) by Nancy Warren moves quickly, with deep emotion and melting sex. Kit's emotions feel real, and her character makes the complications logical rather than contrived. A subplot featuring another contest winner, a stand-up comic whose fantasy is to be a princess, is especially heartwarming.
