THE PRODIGAL COWBOY (4) by Kathleen Eagle: After serving time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Ethan Wolf Track longs for a fresh start. He’s back near his hometown, training horses, when he runs into Bella Primeaux, the smart girl from his high school days. She’s now a local journalist investigating a story that involves Ethan’s family and a state politician. As Bella tries to get to the bottom of this mystery, she and Ethan become close. Old memories begin to reveal themselves to Ethan, as Bella works her way into his heart. A solid, intricate plot and efficient storytelling, as well as Ethan’s bad-boy-gone-good persona, will make readers want to invest time in this story.
