In the 10 years since Ben Vargas left, Mercy Zamora has changed. An established businesswoman who's past dreams of marriage and children, she's prepared for anything, except Ben's return. They're in-laws now -- her sister is married to his recently injured brother -- and Ben's needed at the family construction firm. Mercy can't avoid him, or his desire to pick up where they left off. But she keeps running -- and holding a grudge -- until she learns how much Ben has changed. Then she's in trouble. Karen Templeton's The Prodigal Valentine (4) is an appealing, well-plotted family story, equal parts drama and comedy -- and Ben's an uber-hottie.
