Tormented by memories from the past, investment counselor Leslie Sanderson hasn't been home in 10 years. But when her brother's best friend, Kip Webster, informs her that her brother died in a climbing accident, Leslie is forced to return home for the funeral. Shocked to find that her brother had two children no one knew about, Leslie and Kip are further disturbed when each is given custody of one child. The Promise of Christmas (4) by Tara Taylor Quinn is a well-written novel. Quinn's depiction of Leslie's anguish is spot-on.
