PROMISE FROM A COWBOY (3) by C.J. Carmichael: Eighteen years ago, a fire in an old barn killed a vagrant. B.J. Lambert and Savannah Moody’s twin brother were there. B.J. lied about it to protect Savannah, ending her loving him or trusting him. Now sheriff, Savannah blames B.J. for the wild life her brother has been living since, something her brother doesn’t deny. Now, new evidence shows the vagrant to have been a rich man’s missing son, and his death questionable. Who is really at fault? Could someone be guilty of murder? A fascinating mystery as well as reunited sweethearts make this a riveting story. However, the hero’s idea of right and wrong is skewed and he shows lack of understanding of, and confidence in, the heroine.
