This is a big story in a little book. Carmichael’s novella will capture the hearts of true romantics. But some may feel it would have played out better as a full-length novel since some poignant, emotional aspects are missing every now and then. Thankfully, there are plenty of feelings and sensations that let readers experience the characters’ connection, which is heartfelt and smoking hot. It’s the perfect love story for blue-blooded cowgirls with heart.
