by Lorraine Heath

Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: Victorian England

RT Rating

Everyone but Lauren is whispering about the American cowboy who inherited the title of Earl of Sachse. But to Lauren, he's just Tom -- the boy she fell in love with in Texas, who broke his promise by never writing to her once she moved to England. She believes he's forgotten her.

That couldn't be further from the truth. All Tom wants is a chance to win back Lauren's love. He might have a chance if Lauren weren't planning to leave for Texas as soon as possible.

But when she agrees to tutor Tom in the ways of British society, she gives him the opportunity to sweet-talk her. With one touch of his lips, she's lost.
Whether she's writing a wild western or a staid British-set romance, Heath pulls out all the stops with heroes to die for, heated sexual tension, wonderful repartee and a love story that compels you to believe in happily ever after. Heath is at the top of her game with this sweep-you-off-your-feet romance. SENSUAL (Apr., 384 pp., $6.99)

Promise Me Forever

Lauren and Tom had loved each other since their childhood in Texas.  When Lauren's family moves to England, Tom promises to come for her when he has enough money.  Ten years have passed and Lauren has given up hope.  Suddenly Tom appears in London, claiming to be the lost Earl of Sachse.  Lauren believes he abandoned her years ago, but things are not as they seem.

This is a very good historical romance with likeable characters.  You can't help rooting for Tom and hoping he can win back Lauren.  The epilogue was very unique...a definite tearjerker.  My rating:  4.5 Stars.
