PROMISES UNDER THE PEACH TREE
PROMISES UNDER THE PEACH TREE (4) by Joanne Rock: When an ailing grandmother and a dishonest business partner force Nina Spencer back to Heartache, Tenn., she gets the chance to resolve the past with Mack Finley, the love of her teenage life. Mack, who owns a country music bar, is home to help his family organize the town harvest festival. Being back in Heartache makes Nina realize the reasons she left don’t seem to exist anymore, and if she and Mack can forgive each other for their teenage foibles, they might just have a second chance. Nicely developed characters who possess real depth make this novel a solid read, and the mental issues faced by Mack’s niece and mother are realistic.
