Warren’s latest novel centers around the Tiguri family, a race of shapeshifting tigers. Readers will be immersed in a world of fantasy and the supernatural filled with otherworldly beings in constant conflict. Add to that a passionate romance mingled with an aura of mystery, and readers are left with one amazingly good story.

Saskia Arcos has been promised to Nic Preda in an arranged marriage set up by their parents. They haven’t seen each other in 20 years, but Saskia is not opposed to the marriage if it means helping to unite their families. Being dutiful, Nic agrees to the arrangement realizing its importance yet not expecting the feelings that arise with having Saskia as his mate. When danger surrounds them, Nic will do whatever he needs to do to protect his name and his beloved, even if it means striking first. (ST. MARTIN’S, May, 304 pp, $7.99)
