Book Review

RAIN
by Amanda Sun

Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy

RT Rating

Dark and romantic, Rain is a splendid sequel that takes readers on a brilliant and tense ride. Sun continues to impress with her witty dialogue, smooth plot and lovable characters. She successfully expands her world’s mythology and shapes it into something even more intriguing and complex. Meanwhile, Katie is increasingly formidable here and, as a result, her voice is stronger, giving the novel extra spark. Her relationship with Tomo is perfectly troubled and sweet — a potent combination. This is a must read that’s full of surprises!

After deciding to stay in Japan, Katie Green is determined to help her boyfriend, Tomohiro, understand and control his kami powers. But the deeper they delve into the history of the ancient gods, the more dangerous their lives become. Will their new revelations keep them safe — or will it tear them apart forever?
